Gardening provides for the beauty around us. Gardening is nurturing nature, just like we should be nurturing each other.
Thoughts
Parenting in the “wild” – random observations
Parenting is an all-consuming activity with hopefully many moments of joy and love and few moments of mishaps that need repair. We will all make mistakes but using our conscious abilities (being present, attentive, attuned and responsive) can help us build the relational health for our families and our own communities.
Gaps can kill
The gaps that we ignore in history only serve to perpetuate false nostalgia or continue a false narrative. When doing so, we continue to deny what defines our history.
We are failing our children – here and there
As a pediatrician, I am deeply concerned about children. But my concerns also relate to my roles as a father, spouse, citizen, inhabitant of the Earth and a person of faith.
Positive Childhood Experiences
PCEs are critical to childhood development. When problems occur such as ACES, PCEs and their associated relational health are the key going forward.
Innovate…for the Children
The positive change from innovation can be a great benefit. Such innovation relies on a robust system of research and an equally encouraging system of educational and academic pursuits.
