Our actions and inactions have consequences. These consequences affect our children now and in the future. To protect them now and in the future we must reject divisive actions, seeking to engage each other as citizens, helping and caring for each other, and recognizing our common humanity.

Lies have a cost because they multiply; because they tear at our social fabric; because they can become unrecognizable.
Gaps in our past – history or nostalgia?
We have to address the gaps. We have to reckon with the gaps. Nostalgia is largely not an accurate reflection of history and is filled with multiple gaps. Only by addressing the gaps can we aspire to be the country that we were created to be and the country that we profess to be now.
The Decency of Political Correctness
Political correctness is ok and necessary in my view. It serves to adjust our moral compass on an episodic basis.
