“Better is good, and better is actually a lot harder than worse.” “Better is good” is never an endpoint, but it certainly can provide some comfort if things do not get worse and provide encouragement for the continued “good fight” done on behalf of those whose lives we seek to improve.

Orphans no more
All of our children (“the Princes and Princesses of Maine, the Kings and Queens of New England’) should have a status that recognizes their unique circumstances and seeks to enhance every step along their development journey.
Illegitimate? No!
Labels have no place in describing people. I am particularly concerned about labels being tossed around in the current political climate and how dangerous this can be. It corrodes the moral fabric of our society.
Retirement revisited…keep going
For those of us that retire from the workforce, we should never withdraw from our commitment to children. It demands our continued efforts.
A Declaration for Children
Children are as important as “the men” put forth in the Declaration. Their health and well-being in the early years are the path to their unalienable rights of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
